What the service is
Local Comfort Match is a referral service. You tell us about your HVAC job, and we try to introduce you to a local contractor that fits it. We are not an HVAC contractor. We do not install, repair, or service equipment, and we do not hold a contractor license.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18, live in the United States, and own the home the request is about. We match homeowners only.
Matching
We do not guarantee that we can match you, that a contractor will be available, or how quickly one will contact you. We may decline a request, and a contractor may decline a job.
Contractors are independent
The contractors we introduce are independent businesses. They are not our employees or agents. We do not control their work, and we do not guarantee their quality, pricing, or results. Any estimate, contract, or warranty is between you and the contractor. Before you hire anyone, confirm their license and insurance with your state's licensing board and the contractor.
Cost
The service is free to you. Contractors pay us for introductions. You are responsible for whatever you agree to pay a contractor.
Your information and consent
When you submit the form, you agree that we and the matched contractor may call or text you about your request, including with automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle your information. You agree that the information you give us is accurate.
Acceptable use
Do not submit false information, use the site for anything unlawful, interfere with how it works, or use automated tools to submit requests.
No warranties
The site and service are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from work done by a contractor. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the service will not exceed $100.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [state], without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of [county, state].
Changes
We may update these terms. The version posted here, with its effective date, is the one that applies.
